This "Paper Plate Clock" is special. Instead of numbers use the chapter and verse references which will print out with the pdf instruction sheet OR let the children choose their favorite sheet of pocket scriptures from the scripture list...cut it up...and add 12 scriptures to the clock instead of numbers. (ten if there is not enough room on your clock). You will need a little yarn for the children to hang the clock. On the Face of the clock have each child write "Make Time for THE BIBLE". Add construction paper hands with a small brass brad and help the children glue the scriptures in place. Keep the clocks in a safe place for 5-24 hours and then let the children take the clocks home. The Great Value of the clocks is that the children take them home and turn the hands one scripture at a time. The idea is that they do this once a day and look up the whole verse until they have committed all twelve (ten) to memory. When they are done they bring the clock back for a prize...and hopefully join your church. Making Time for the Bible....once a day every day.... is a lesson every child should learn.
